The Benicia Library has recently added Mango Languages to its list of free resources.  Mango is available for Benicia Library members and is the easiest and most effective way to learn to speak a foreign language.  Access is available anywhere there is Internet with your Benicia library card.

Join poets and poetry lovers to read, discuss and enjoy poetry ogether. Bring two or three poems to share, your own or ones you like for our OPEN READING. 

Also NEW! Bring a poem that you'd like another attendee to read to the group – your own poem preferably.

Receipt option!

You asked for it and now here it is...

If you use the self check machines to check out your items, the one facing the fireplace has been configured to give you a choice of NOT printing out a receipt.  Now WE can save on paper and YOU have an option to print a receipt or not!  Thank you for the suggestion.   

Summer Reading Program Deadline

Hard to believe summer is swiftly fading.... but we know you've been participating in the various summer reading programs! So, don't forget that August 31st is the LAST day to turn in all those summer reading program logs and bingo sheets.

TEEN BOOK CLUB: The Hunger Games

Tonight, August 16, 6 pm. 

If you have read The Hunger Games and want to talk about it one more time before the final book in the series is released, here is your chance! Come to the last Teen Book Club of the summer. We will be raffling off a copy of each book in The Hunger Games Series, including the final book, Mockingjay, which comes out next Tuesday!
