Free classes are offered to adults with limited English conversational skills. Three levels of instruction are available: beginning, intermediate, and advanced. Subjects include grammar, conversation, reading, writing, survival skills and much more. Classes meet Monday and Thursday from 9:00 - 11:30 am at the library, during the school year. Baby Storytime for 6 to 18 month-olds is held every month on Mondays at 1:00 p.m. The program is free. Expect 10 to 15 minutes of fast-paced storytime fun, including stories, rhymes, bouncing songs, tickles, and feltboards. Sit on the floor, hold your baby in your lap, and play along together. One child per adult, please. Afterward there’s a chance to talk to other adults, and books suitable for babies are available for checkout. Call Allison at 746-4741 for more information. The After-School Zone happens Monday through Thursday, when school is in session, from 3:15 to 5:00 p.m. The After-School Zone is a free place for kids age 8 - 19 to drop in. It’s a place to study, play video games, have a snack, and visit with friends. Start: 6:00 pm

The Teen Book Club is a way for teens to get together and discuss books that THEY have chosen to read. This month they will be reading "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky. At the meeting, we discuss how these titles fit into the lives of teens today. Come to the Library’s information desk to pick up a copy of this month’s book to check out! New teens always welcome! The Art Galley Committee is a subcommittee of the Library Board and it meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Edna Clyne Room except during the summer. The meetings are open to all. | ||
