Exhibition Submissions

To enter a project for consideration for 2012, pick up a form at the Library during the summer OR download the application and guidelines below. Applications are available July 1 of each year.  The deadline for 2012 application process is November 15, 2011. 

If you would like to have an application and gallery guidelines mailed to you, please send a legal-size SASE to the Benicia Public Library, 150 East L Street, Benicia, CA 94510 (or download the guidelines and application form) and mail the completed form to the library - ATTN: Art Gallery Committee at - Benicia Public Library, 150 East L Street, Benicia, CA 94510.

Those people or organizations selected for exhibition will be notified by December 31, 2011.

Here are some suggestions for shows in the Gallery:

• painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, books (as art objects)
• crafts
• fabric art, weavings, tapestries, textiles
• photography - artistic, historical, natural subjects
• children's art
• collectibles - dolls, miniature books, etc.
• theater art - costumes, scenery, props.
• sculpture - wood, metal. plastics. light & neon
• special themes; competitions
• lapidary, jewelry, metal works
• natural science art & illustrations
• cartooning
• film, video and animation
• folk art
• commercial illustration, graphic design
