Museum Passes - Free!
The Library is now lending Museum passes for the Asian Art Museum, the Exploratorium, the Benicia Historical Museum, and for the Lindsay Wildlife Museum.
The Asian Art Museum pass admints 2 adults and as many children under 12 you can bring.
The Exploratoruim pass admits two adults and four children 17 years of age and younger. Plus discounts to programs, performances, and the store. Check their website for hours and holidays.
The Benicia Historical Museum at the Camel Barns is good for 4 people of any age with a 10% discount on museum events and store merchandise. Check their website for hours, holidays, and special events.
The Lindsay Wildlife Museum is good for 2 adults and children under 18 from the same household. Check their website for days and hours open. Weekday mornings reserved for school groups.
How it works
In order to borrow a pass you need to:
- Have your library card in good standing.
- You may call, come in, or Instant Message in the Meebo box in the next column and have a librarian place a hold on the pass up to 3 days in advance. The pass must be available for check out at the time the hold is placed.
- The pass must be returned to the library the next day before closing. (Monday through Thursday 9 pm; Friday - Sunday 6 pm)
- The pass should be brought into the library when it is open. The pass can be returned in the book drop if the library is closed.
The policies for borrowing a museum pass are:
- Late return of the museum pass is $5.00 a day. A late return of a pass would prohibit the next person in line from checking it out.
- A lost museum pass is the cost of the pass plus a $10 processing fee.
- Fines are automatically charged to your library card.
Library Hours:
Monday - Thursday 10 am - 9 pm
Friday - Sunday 12 noon - 6 pm
