TEEN BOOK CLUB:

WHEN: Third Monday of the month, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. (unless otherwise advertised)

The Teen Book Club is a way for teens to get together and discuss books that THEY have chosen to read. At the meeting, we discuss how these titles fit into the lives of teens today. Come to the Library’s information desk to pick up a copy of this month’s book! New teens always welcome!

TAB MEETING (TEEN ADVISORY BOARD):

WHEN: Last Monday of the month, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. (unless otherwise advertised)

Where do we get ideas for great events and materials for teens? That’s right, the Teen Advisory Board! This group of active teens meets on the last Monday of the month with the Teen Services Librarian. They enjoy a free dinner while brainstorming about upcoming events and the future of teen services. New teens and ideas are always welcome. The Board is informal; you can try it once or make it a habit and come every month!

ONGOING PROGRAMS:

TEEN VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

The Library is recruiting teen volunteers. Visit the Teen Volunteers page to find the answers to the questions: “What is the Teen Volunteer Program?”, “What is expected of Teen Volunteers?” and other facts about teen volunteering.

TEEN ADVISORY BOARD

The Teen Advisory Board is a group of teens who meet once a month with the Teen Services Librarian. They advise the Teen Services Librarian on Library programs and materials for teenagers. This is a chance for teens to tell the Librarian what they want from their Library. Meetings are usually held on the last Monday of the month from 6 to 7:00 p.m. New people are always welcome and no commitment is required. Come to one meeting or come every month! Just leave a message with Brandi Bette at 746.4345 if you plan on attending - that way we'll be be sure to have enough food for all of the teens!
